NZ future energy leader joins global board

Feb 2, 2018 | News (YEPN)

The BusinessNZ Energy Council (BEC) is delighted with the appointment of Bennet Tucker from Transpower, a member of the New Zealand Young Energy Professionals Network, to the WEC board for global future energy leaders, the FEL-100.

BEC Chair Hon David Caygill says the appointment to this exclusive group of 100 future global energy leaders is in recognition of Bennet’s outstanding contribution since his appointment to the FEL-100 last year and the value of New Zealand’s contribution to the WEC and its work programme.

This contribution has also been recognised with Bennet’s appointment as Secretary of the FEL-100 Board.

“As a small trade dependent country we continue to produce leaders who with resolve and optimism share our local energy and wider cultural experiences with the rest of the world and bring the best global thinking back home,” Mr Caygill said.

“This appointment serves to further strengthen the already strong ties between the WEC and its New Zealand member committee BEC and we wish Bennet all the best as he serves his three year term.”
