Celebrating energy awards season

It's awards season in the energy industry and there are a spate of events recognising the awesome talent and innovative technology both at home and overseas. If you know of some great work worth recognising, let us know at youngenergypro@gmail.com.

Congratulations to Linda Thompson who took home Young Energy Professional of the Year at the Deloitte Energy Excellence Awards on August 10. Find out about Linda's vision for the future of energy for Fonterra.
Energy Market Services have picked up and international Smart Cities award for their em6 Load Forecast service. EMS teamed up with Tesla to provide a highly accurate tool which calculates load forecasts up to 14 days in advance.
Nominees for Generation, Transmission and Distribution Trainee of the Year will go head to head at the Annual Connection Excellence Awards on October 20. Tickets for the awards night in Christchurch are still up for grabs.

10-13 Oct 2016 World Energy Congress, Istanbul
The World Energy Congress will bring together more than 10,000 energy leaders from industries, governments and agencies across the globe to focus on the theme of 'Embracing New Frontiers'.

12-14 Oct 2016 APEx Conference, Medellin
Colleagues from power exchanges and electricity markets worldwide will meet in Medellin, Columbia next month to share information, ideas and knowledge.
